SUMMARY
Troubleshoot and design of analog and digital circuits. Testing, assembly, calibration and maintenance of test fixtures used in the manufacturing of medical devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Collaborate in the design and value improvements for manufacturing test fixtures and high volume medical electronic devices.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and provide root cause failure analysis
• Read schematics and printed circuit board assembly drawings and bill of materials.
• Organize existing PCB designs & Bill of Materials for re-building.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after test equipment construction.
• Build mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and prototypes according to engineering drawings and specifications, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Test, calibrate, install and maintain manufacturing test equipment.
• Preform preventative maintenance of existing test fixtures.
• Draw or modify diagrams/schematic and write engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria
• Write and execute validation and verification protocols.
• Active participation in meter/fixture integration testing
• Write technical documentation in accordance with company policies and as required for design control procedures
• Assist in the installation of updated operating systems, libraries, and software applications.
• Printed circuit board layout and design
• Troubleshoot and design of analog and digital circuits
• Potential for international travel.
• Coordinate shipping of test fixtures overseas
• Adheres to all workplace safety laws, regulations, standards and practices

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree from four-year college or university as a minimum
• Experienced with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, voltmeters, etc.
• Experience with various protocols, ex: RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet
• Experience with ADCs, DACs and PWMs
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of FDA, IEC, ISO and GMP regulations and guidelines
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write reports and presentations using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and communications on complex topics to management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization or information is available. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Employee should fully understand appropriate safety regulations and GLP/GMP/GCP guidelines and apply them appropriately. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
