Production Support Electrical Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking Interim Secret-Cleared Production Support Electrical Engineers in Tucson, Arizona for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will provide hands-on electrical engineering support to production by troubleshooting complex hardware issues, resolving supplier and manufacturing problems, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining the technical documentation needed to keep hardware builds moving forward. Openings are available at multiple experience levels.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience; openings are available across approximately 2–10 years of experience.
• Experience testing and/or debugging digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed-signal electronics.
• Experience troubleshooting complex circuit card assemblies and/or electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to interpret PCB layouts and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Experience diagnosing hardware failures and developing effective troubleshooting plans.
• Ability to quickly assess technical problems, identify additional information needed, determine available resources, and establish a path to resolution.
• Ability to independently manage technical issues through final resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical plans, status, and corrective actions across cross-functional teams.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Interim Secret clearance or higher required to start.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting production engineering activities involving electrical or mechanical hardware.
• Experience designing electronic or electro-optical subsystems.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit design, assembly processes, and fabrication practices.
• Familiarity with electrical design, simulation, analysis, and measurement tools.
• Experience with subsystem integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with continuous-improvement methodologies.
• Experience providing technical guidance, coordination, or project oversight.
• Experience working directly with suppliers and production organizations.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical hardware issues affecting production.
• Resolve production and supplier technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Develop troubleshooting and corrective-action plans and drive issues through completion.
• Diagnose hardware failures using electronic test equipment and engineering analysis tools.
• Prepare, maintain, and update engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Develop engineering change documentation and prepare change packages for review.
• Evaluate defect and yield data to identify recurring issues and process-improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams.
• Create Statements of Work and support supplier technical activities.
• Track technical issues, communicate status, and maintain ownership through final resolution.
• Support general electrical engineering activities in a production environment.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Full-time onsite in Tucson, Arizona.
• First shift: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
• Openings may follow either a 5/40 or 9/80A schedule depending on assignment.

Pay

• $75.59–$82.03 per hour.
