About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Power Electronics Product Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and commercialization of advanced power electronics products. This role is pivotal in driving innovation in semiconductor-based solutions for appliances, industrial systems, and consumer electronics. You will work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to deliver high-performance, cost-effective, and reliable products to market.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end development of power electronics products, including concept, design, prototyping, validation, and production ramp-up.
• Design and optimize power conversion systems (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC) using wide-bandgap semiconductors (SiC, GaN).
• Develop and validate control algorithms for power converters and embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IC design, PCB layout, thermal/mechanical engineering, and firmware development.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (UL, IEC, ISO, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to define product requirements and resolve technical challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, simulation tools, and test procedures.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, MSEE is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in power electronics design and product development/applications
• Proven expertise in high-frequency switching power supplies, inverters, and motor drives.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC, GaN) and magnetic components.
• Proficiency in simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS) and PCB design software (Altium, Cadence).
• Experience with embedded systems and digital control (DSP, MCU, FPGA).
• Experience with PCB layout and EMI filter design
• Familiarity with thermal management, EMI/EMC compliance, and reliability testing.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
