Bohr Quantum Technology Corporation (BQT) develops end-to-end quantum cybersecurity systems. We offer a quantum cybersecurity solution that will protect the integrity of critical networks for years to come. We are seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to assist in development of the control electronics for our systems. This position will report to the Executive VP of Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the development of next-generation FPGA-based analog, digital, and RF control electronics for quantum cybersecurity. Develop and test RTL and firmware for high-speed arbitrary waveform generation, digital signal processing, scientific instrument control, closed-loop control systems, and error correcting codes. Design, simulate, and implement FPGA designs in System Verilog, Verilog, and VHDL . Verify, validate, integrate, test, and install hardware and firmware systems and embedded Linux distributions.

Willingness to travel to BQT corporate offices in Pasadena, CA and customer sites for up to a week at a time approximately once per quarter.

Experience & Education

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

At least 5 years of postgraduate FPGA development experience.

Qualifications

Collaborative self-starter with a high tolerance for the risk and uncertainty of an early stage deep tech startup.

Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, and VHDL for FPGA design and verification. Adherence to FPGA development best practices. Hands-on experience bringing up custom hardware systems in both R&D and production environments.

Expertise in RTL design with Xilinx Vivado and verification with Siemens Questa. Experience with embedded Linux and firmware development in C/C++ and Python for the Xilinx RFSoC. Ability to collaborate closely with software engineers and experimental physicists. Integration, debug, and test experience with custom electronic systems.

Willingness to learn about classical networking software and protocols, quantum information shuttling, and quantum communications.
