Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking multiple Power Systems Engineers with a focus in Protection Controls Automation for a large energy management and engineering automation company. This organization is responsible for working directly with end customers to lead project teams to develop solutions that align with the power protection for a business-critical equipment and applications. You will do this by visiting client sites like commercial buildings, data centers, and industrial facilities, etc. Your responsibilities include assessing customers' technical needs and objectives, and delivering solutions that align with project specifications, scope of work, schedule, and budget. After gathering end users requirements needed for enhancements, you will develop proposals, draft up technical reports, and overall execute the project. This individual must have an electrical engineering background and come from a power distribution background.
This position is primarily remote, working a standard 40 hours/week. It is required to conduct at least 25% travel to the customer sites within the region you are based out of. Compensation for this position is $110k - $140k per year annually, with the opportunity to earn a 10% bonus. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must Haves:
• Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years' experience as a Power Systems Engineer with a background specific to power distribution (not looking for industrial automation)
• Experience with Automatic Throwover work (ATOs)
• Experience with Medium Voltage
• Experience taking customer requirements for upgrades or retrofits of existing switchboard/switchgear for automatic controls, transfer systems or automatic relays
• Experience working with Integrators
• Development experience with Automation transfer systems, protection relay systems, switchboard and switchgear controls, and control wiring designs.
• Strong experience with PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley, ABB, etc)
• Experience creating proposals, preparing documentation, design drawings, and working with the customers on these needs.
• Industry experience in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, data center, utilities & renewable energy sites
• Ability to travel 25% -50% per year within the region the individual is located
