Job Description:
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
• Review schematic, PCB designs, calculation and simulation of power electronics converters.
• Conduct the verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry and requirements.
• Strong hands-on and trouble-shooting skills in testing and verifications of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, scope, etc.).
• Capability to analysis the root-cause of the power electronics system and drive R&D activities independently.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Preferred qualifications:
• M. S degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing.
• Solid understanding power electronics fundamentals.
• Knowledge of automotive requirements.
Typical Day in the Role:
• Purpose of the Team: The Power Electronics & Test Validation team is looking for an Electrical Engineer specifically with Power Electronics for EV and renewable energy expertise.
Candidate Requirements:
• Years of Experience Required: 5 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: M. S degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field preferred.
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain all preferred skills.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:
• Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
