The Sensing Systems team integrates optical, capacitive, MEMS, and magnetic sensors across a variety of Apple products such as the Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and more. Join us in crafting solutions the world doesn"t know of yet. \\n\\nThe Optical Sensing team is looking for electrical engineers with analog, board-level design experience and is a hard-working go-getter. Experience with photodiode front-ends, LED/VCSEL drivers, and basic optics is a plus.

You will design, develop, and launch next-generation optical sensing technologies. You will analyze data to draw conclusions, enhance product design and manufacturability, and drive failure analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Optical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Process Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Test Engineers, and Software Engineers-to deliver state-of-the-art sensing.

Design and develop the optical sensing system\\nSystem-level prototyping, integration, characterization and end-to-end validation\\nSchematic design of boards and flexible assemblies\\nConduct failure mode analysis, root-cause diagnosis, and system-level problem-solving; execute engineering builds and drive cross-functional communication to enhance product design and manufacturability\\nBusiness travel up to 10% as required

Electrical engineering background in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design, sensor design, modeling, and analog circuit simulations experiences \\nHands-on experience with board-level circuit design and lab equipment (microscopes, detector, light sources etc)\\nScripting experience for data analysis and automation\\nMinimum requirement of a bachelors degree

Optical Sensor and systems integration experience preferred\\nExperience in ANSYS, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools\\nExperience supporting volume manufacturing, including test design, failure analysis, and statistical\\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and solid collaboration and leadership skills\\nStrong teamwork abilities and self-motivation to tackle technical challenges \\nMS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics
