Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute calibration activities for field instruments
  2. Prepare and maintain calibration schedules as per calibration Master plan.
  3. Ensure calibration compliance of GMP critical instruments with due dates
  4. Perform trouble shooting and PM of instrumentation systems and process control equipment.
  5. Coordination with Production, QA and Engg team during breakdowns, shutdowns and qualification activities.
  6. Maintain calibration records, certificates, instrument history cards, and documentation as per GMP requirements.
  7. Handle PLC, SCADA, and HMI related trouble shooting and coordinate with vendors when required.
  8. Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  9. Coordinate external calibration agencies and verify calibration reports/certificates.
  10. Participate in deviation investigation, CAPA implementation, change control, and audit preparation activities.
  11. Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical instrumentation spares.
  12. Support energy saving and continuous improvement initiatives related to instrumentation and automation systems.

 

Skill required

  1. Knowledge of calibration standards and practices
  2. Understanding PLC SCADA, HMI, and automation system
  3. Knowledge of GMP documentation and regulatory compliance
  4. Familiar with Utility systems such as HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Compressors, and water systems
  5. Good communication and coordination skills
  6. Basic knowledge of 21CFR Part11

 

 



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech  in Instrumentation Engineering - Required

     

Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years in pharmaceutical, API, injectable, OSD or regulated manufacturing industries.
