Roles and Responsibilities

Own Supplier Quality End-to-End — Lead both Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Supplier Quality Development (SQD) activities for assigned suppliers, ensuring alignment with GE Vernova's standards of excellence

Drive Supplier Qualification — Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers through structured qualification processes; develop and manage action plans to close gaps

Lead Supplier Audits — Plan and execute supplier audits, ensuring compliance with applicable industrial and regulatory standards; develop improvement plans where deficiencies are identified

Monitor & Improve Supplier Performance — Own supplier scorecards and performance data; drive data-driven improvement initiatives using APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, COPQ, corrective action (CAPA), and continuous improvement methodologies

Champion Problem-Solving — Apply root cause analysis and structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why) to resolve supplier quality issues and prevent recurrence

Collaborate Cross-Functionally — Work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align quality strategy with business goals; provide informal mentorship to junior team members

Support Supply Chain Build-Out — Play a foundational role in developing the North American BESS supply chain; engage with suppliers across the US, India, and Asia (especially in early tenure)

Translate Technical Knowledge — Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to assess supplier capability and manage vendor performance
- Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
- Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.
- Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
- For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in battery technology supply chains — particularly from automotive EV/battery, wind, power electronics, or energy storage sectors
- Hands-on proficiency with quality methodologies: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, COPQ, ISO 9001, CAPA, 8D, or equivalent
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical specifications relevant to electrical/mechanical components
- Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
- Background with supplier scorecards and performance management systems

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $82,900.00 and $138,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
