Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized Board of Technical Education / University.
OR
Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University / AICTE-approved Institution.

Work Experience : 
Minimum two years of experience in relevant area of industry/educational institutions offering degree/diploma courses in Engineering.
Preference will be given to candidates having relevant experience in handling Electronics Engineering laboratories in Engineering Colleges, Universities, Polytechnic Institutes, Research Organizations, Electronics Industry, or related technical organizations.

Job Description:

The Laboratory Assistant – Electronics Engineering shall be responsible for supporting academic, laboratory, and technical activities of the Electronics Engineering Department.

  1. Assist faculty members and students during laboratory practicals, demonstrations, project work, and technical activities.

  2. Prepare and maintain laboratory setups, experimental kits, electronic components, and instruments required for conducting practical sessions.

  3. Assist in conducting and maintaining Electronics Engineering laboratories including:

    • Basic Electronics Laboratory

    • Analog Electronics Laboratory

    • Digital Electronics Laboratory

    • Electronic Devices and Circuits Laboratory

    • Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory

    • Embedded Systems Laboratory

    • Communication Engineering Laboratory

    • VLSI Laboratory

    • IoT Laboratory

    • PCB Design and Fabrication Laboratory

    • Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory

  4. Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including:

    • Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO)

    • Function/Signal Generators

    • Regulated DC Power Supplies

    • Digital Multimeters

    • Logic Analyzers

    • Spectrum Analyzers

    • LCR Meters

    • Soldering and Desoldering Stations

    • PCB Testing Equipment

  5. Assist in assembly, testing, debugging, and maintenance of electronic circuits and laboratory kits.

  6. Maintain laboratory records including:

    • Equipment inventory

    • Consumable and component stock registers

    • Calibration records

    • Maintenance logs

    • Laboratory utilization records

  7. Ensure proper handling, storage, maintenance, and safety of electronic equipment, components, and laboratory facilities.

  8. Assist in procurement, installation, testing, preventive maintenance, and annual verification of laboratory equipment.

  9. Provide technical support to faculty members and students during laboratory sessions, project development, technical competitions, and research activities.

  10. Support departmental activities related to accreditation documentation, laboratory audits, inspections, and institutional quality assurance processes.

  11. Ensure compliance with electrical safety practices, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection procedures, and institutional laboratory safety policies.

  12. Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department / Competent Authority related to departmental requirements.
