Akkodis is seeking motivated Junior-Level HiL System Test Engineer to join our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Engineering Lab exclusively supporting Ford Motor Company. This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in automotive testing and validation, working with cutting-edge ADAS, powertrain, and vehicle control systems.
As a HiL System Test Engineer, you'll contribute to test setup, system integration, automation, and validation of complex automotive components using industry-standard tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, testers, and feature owners, to ensure quality and performance.
Pay Range: $60,000 to 70,000/yr (salary commensurate based on academic and prior internship experience along with level of education achieved).
System Test Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Assist in setting up and configuring Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test benches for vehicle system validation.
• Support the design, integration, and troubleshooting of HiL systems, including ADAS, powertrain, and chassis subsystems.
• Conduct system-level testing, analyzing CAN messages, verifying end-of-line functionality, and ensuring seamless software integration.
• Work with automation teams to enhance test efficiency through scripting and test automation.
• Collaborate with feature owners and test engineers to execute test cases, analyze results, and document issues.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering decisions.
• Gain exposure to tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and HiL simulation platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Relevant experience (professional, Co-Op, or internship) associated with automotive systems, embedded software, and control systems.
• Familiarity with CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.) is a plus.
• Exposure to HiL simulations and tools like dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or Vector tools is beneficial.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, MATLAB, or C++) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
