Junior Electrical Engineering Technician

Join BBA and make the most of your experience by actively contributing to the various stages of Electrical discipline. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Study and Field Services team to support our expansion in Ontario.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic growing team in our Concord office. Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day delivery of engineering services, from testing high voltages to making sure projects are completed on schedule. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality professional services and maintaining good working relationships with clients and co-workers.

• Assist in high voltage testing such as withstand test, partial discharge testing, and other applicable testing on medium to low voltage electrical apparatus
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary
• Communicate effectively with the engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer
• Identify issues & problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
• Ensure that project assignments are completed on schedule and within budget and in an economical manner
• Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to enhance engineering deliverables
• Perform other duties as assigned

Summary of certification and job requirements

• 1+ years of experience is electrical design/ testing for maintenance or commissioning
• Have experience with design of substations or power plants
• Strong willingness to learn hands-on work for electrical testing on site
• Willingness to work in laboratory ad field environment
• Willing to travel outside the province for extended period
• Experience with MS office and Acrobat Reader
• Diploma in Electrical/Electromechanical
• Valid G driver's license
