About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will provide engineering, technical, testing, quality assurance, and project management support across a wide range of small and large-scale projects.

 

You will play a key role in researching new technologies, developing improved ways of working, supporting technical project delivery, and helping deploy innovative solutions across the business.

 

This role offers a unique combination of technical engineering, field-based support, and project management experience, making it ideal for a graduate eager to accelerate their professional development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support technical innovation projects through research, testing, reporting, and the implementation of new technologies and ways of working.
  • Provide onsite engineering and technical support within high-voltage substation environments, including training field teams on new solutions.
  • Assist with the planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, risk management, and environmental compliance in line with Ventia's SHEQ framework.

 

 

About You

We're looking for someone who is driven, curious, and eager to learn from experienced industry professionals.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to work independently under remote supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Technically minded with the ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and processes.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Recent graduate or early-career engineer.
  • Exposure to the high voltage or power industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
