The Apple Advanced Technologies Group is looking for a motivated electrical engineer to drive the design of next generation touch sensors. \\nOur group’s objective is to enable the delivery of world class user experiences Apple products are famous for.\\nWe achieve this objective through the design and integration of high-precision, low-latency multi-touch and stylus sensors across several product lines.\\n\\nAs Apple products are continually evolving, we consistently face complex multi-disciplinary problems spanning such areas as:\\n-Circuit Analysis\\n-Electro-magnetics\\n-DSP\\n-Algorithm Development\\n-Material Science\\n-Manufacturing logistics\\n\\nOvercoming these problems requires creativity, sharp problem-solving skills, and strong EE fundamentals

As a Touch Sensor Electrical Design \u0026 Integration Engineer, you will own the design and implementation of touch sensors, build models to understand key tradeoffs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sensor module solutions.

Design of sensor modules, including electro-magnetic modeling and circuit modeling\\nSupport of End-to-End system definition and development (sensor, signal processing, ASIC performance, algorithm development) \\nScoping of new sensor technologies and support of proof-of-concept investigations\\nCollaboration with several different technology teams to evaluate system design options and trade-offs\\nReview and define algorithms for signal and noise conditioning requirements\\nOptimization of designs across multidisciplinary boundaries (Mechanical, materials, process, algorithms, calibration, testing, reliability, factory operations)\\nPerforming failure-mode analysis and root-cause analysis using system-level problem solving and statistical data analysis\\nSupport of new product definition through engineering analysis, market surveys and competitive analysis\\nBusiness travel to support product development

Strong analog/mixed-signal/electro-magnetic fundamentals\\nProficiency in FEA (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell), MATLAB, Python, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools\\nBS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience

Hands-on experience with system-level design\\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\\nSolid teamwork and leadership skills\\nPh.D or Masters degree in electrical engineering (or related field)
