Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for Building Services? Our client, a reputable engineering consultancy known for delivering high-quality MEP projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors, is looking to expand their dynamic team. They are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer with strong Building Services experience and ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng).

Key Responsibilities:

• The design, specification, and documentation of electrical building services (LV, MV, lighting, emergency systems, energy efficiency solutions, etc.)
• Project management from concept through to completion, including site inspections and commissioning
• Liaising with clients, architects, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution
• Ensuring that all designs meet regulatory requirements and relevant SANS codes
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• ECSA registration as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng (non-negotiable)
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Building Services design
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools
• Strong understanding of South African building codes and electrical standards
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
