The Opportunity
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play an integral role in the design and delivery of electrical and lighting projects from concept through to completion. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and project leads, gaining exposure to technically challenging projects while building long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and delivery of electrical and lighting engineering projects.
  • Produce high-quality technical designs and supporting documentation.
  • Support Project Engineers and Department Leads in delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver practical engineering solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and technical support.
  • Assist with Health & Safety, CDM and environmental documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn and passionate about engineering.
You'll ideally have:
  • HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience using engineering design software and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing your workload.
  • Commercial awareness and a desire to deliver excellent client outcomes.
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
  • Experience within highways, street lighting or infrastructure projects.
  • Electrical scheme design and project delivery experience.
  • Knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, National Highways standards and associated design guidance.
  • Experience with ICP design.
  • On-site construction or installation experience.
  • Familiarity with programme management and resource planning software.
