Network Engineering is recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading engineering company looking for a  Industrial Automation Engineer to drive innovative automation projects across complex manufacturing environments. Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to design, program, and maintain automated systems and mechanical processes. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing efficiency, programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs), integrating robotic systems, and ensuring maximum uptime across automated production lines.
You will lead automation projects from concept through commissioning, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and implement world-class control solutions that improve operational performance and productivity.

Education:

  • B.Eng / BSc Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Automation Engineering
  • ECSA registration advantageous
  • Additional Automation, Robotics, or Control Systems certifications beneficial

Job Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 4-8 years' experience in industrial automation engineering
  • Proven PLC programming and control systems design experience
  • Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Beckhoff, or equivalent platforms
  • Strong SCADA, HMI, and industrial network integration experience
  • Robotics integration and commissioning experience advantageous
  • Experience with instrumentation, process control, and electrical design
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation standards and best practices
  • Exposure to project engineering and system commissioning
  • Ability to lead automation improvement initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
