Role Description
This is an in-person contract role for an I&C Electrical Engineer in Philadelphia. The position supports 200L scale gene therapy manufacturing suites, involving the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems, process control, and instrumentation oversight. The role requires collaboration with various support areas, labs, and utilities within an expanding manufacturing facility.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Field Presence: Active on-site support and system troubleshooting.
• Instrumentation: Design, specification, and selection of process control instrumentation (e.g., sensors, valves).
• Control Systems: Support for PLC, DCS, and SCADA configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Electrical Systems: Design, installation, and maintenance of control panels, motor controls, and related power distribution.
• Loop Checks: Comprehensive verification of control loop wiring, functionality, and calibration.
• IOQ Support: Hands-on support for Installation and Operational Qualification of I&C systems.
• Calibration: Support and oversight of instrument calibration programs for accuracy and compliance.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosis and resolution of complex I&C and electrical component issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective communication and bridging gaps between Operations, Mechanical, Quality, Metrology, and IT.
• Documentation & Compliance: Developing and reviewing I&C documentation (P&IDs, schematics, datasheets) ensuring GxP and industry standard adherence.
• Process Optimization: Identifying opportunities to enhance control, efficiency, and reliability via I&C solutions.
• Hands-On Execution: Practical approach to problem-solving and system implementation.
Qualifications
