Job Title: Hardware Validation Engineer (Entry-Level)

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Range: $36 – $41/hour

Location: Fremont, CA

Overview:

An established manufacturing organization is seeking an entry-level Hardware Validation Engineer to join its engineering services team. This position supports product testing, troubleshooting, and validation across server, networking, and personal computing platforms. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of electronics and computer hardware, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in configuring test environments to validate hardware product functionality
• Execute scale testing procedures; support root cause analysis and issue triage
• Identify and classify issues related to hardware, scripts, or software
• Document test results, procedures, and issue resolutions accurately
• Collaborate with engineers across departments on test and validation tasks
• Perform other related engineering duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
• Understanding of server components and computer hardware architecture (e.g., system bus, PCI-e, USB)
• Familiarity with hardware such as switches, power systems, and laptops/PCs
• Experience using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering tools (preferred)
• Exposure to communication and management protocols (e.g., Ethernet, Redfish, IPMI, PCIe)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
• Analytical mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team

Preferred Technical Skills:
• Exposure to scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python) for test automation or data collection
• Hands-on experience with lab hardware or debugging tools
• Knowledge of system integration or hardware troubleshooting

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
• Internship, academic, or personal project experience with computer hardware or circuit design encouraged
