The Home Hardware EPM team drives the development of hardware sub-systems for new Home products, typically from architecture definition to mass production. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical depth with program management skills and executive exposure.
Home HW EPM is responsible for leading a broad cross-functional team in developing Home hardware products, leveraging a solid engineering background to recognize, assess, and communicate cross-functional issues and risks. Maintain good communication and provide multiple levels of status to individual contributors and executive management.
Drive planning and execution of product prototype builds, including materials planning and factory readiness\\nOwn system-level flexes and boards: manage the internal design review process and release to vendors, review design changes with cross-functional teams, manage vendors and materials, and drive overall schedule for on-time delivery to final assembly \\nEstablish daily build schedules and distribution plans to support the overall project plan for in-region and local builds \\nPartner closely with cross-functional teams to understand key design changes requiring validation and accurately integrate engineering validation needs into the system build matrix \\nIdentify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive resolution of technical build blockers with cross-functional stakeholders \\nProvide timely, clear executive-level reporting on build progress and critical path status \\nPartner with Contract Manufacturer (CM) partners for the program, managing factory build events and vendor relationships
BS degree in Engineering required; Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred \\n3+ years of experience in hardware engineering or operations program management \\nProven ability to effectively manage factory build events and vendor relationships
Strong technical background in EE or ME \\nExcellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills \\nAbility to manage complex build matrices and detailed build planning schedules \\nSuperior attention to detail with a strong commitment to rigor and excellence \\nSelf-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities \\nUnderstands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty \\nExperience interfacing with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Mechanical design, Software/Firmware, Reliability, and Operations. \\nAbility to travel internationally to support build events
