General Accountability
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Hardware Engineer - Embedded Product
Design is responsible for the development of new embedded electronic hardware products.
Responsibilities include electronic hardware design, documentation, design validation, prototyping, and fault analysis. The role also involves providing technical support for our electronic products and other related duties as assigned.
Specific Accountabilities
• Develop analog and digital circuits, including component selection, DC motors, and
battery-powered circuits.
• Work with SPI, UART, Bluetooth interfaces, signal, and power integrity.
• Create technical documentation such as BOM generation, schematics, wiring and cable diagrams, interface control documents, and PCB assemblies for in-house developed electrical/electronic equipment.
• Develop 4-layer boards using Altium.
• Conduct root cause analysis for electronic products.
• Provide electronic support for production and technical support as needed, including researching available equipment, planning hardware solutions, acting as an in-house resource, and testing newly acquired electronic equipment.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Job Specifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 to 5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Altium, Git, and lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, processor programming, and debuggers.
• Ability to perform circuit design using analog and digital technology.

• Experience implementing theoretical design efforts on PCBs using CAD software, preferably Altium.
• Capability to design, develop, and repair product testing equipment.
• Proficient in soldering and repairing SMT and through-hole components.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to write in a technical format, present product solutions, and discuss competitive performance trade-offs.
