Join Overview Energy as a Hardware Development Engineer Intern to design and build next-gen satellites.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:
• Utilizing cross-disciplinary engineering skills to develop prototypes.
• Supporting board design, manufacture, integration, and mounting structures.
• Using Altium for circuit board design and development.
• Creating cable harness and one-line diagrams.
• Driving changes to electrical schematics and documentation.
• Writing and executing verification tests.
• Programming microcontrollers and test equipment.
• Using lab equipment for testing.
• Designing and developing object-oriented code in Python and C.
• Participating in the software development lifecycle.
• Documenting software architectures and code.
• Writing and debugging Python for simulation models.
• Supporting embedded and electrical systems engineers.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python with hardware interaction experience.
• Experience with Circuit Simulation Software (preferably LTSpice).
• Knowledge of Serial Communication Protocols (e.g., Serial, UART, I2C).
• IoT Integration experience with Raspberry Pi and Arduino.
• Familiarity with GIT commands and VS Code environment.
• Preferred experience with solar panels, rapid prototyping tools, mCAD software (preferably Solidworks), PID implementation, and aerospace.
