Direct hire opening with our transportation technology client for a Hardware Design/Senior Signaling Engineer. This is a key leadership role where you will be driving the design and development of critical hardware components and overseeing all phases of product development.
Essential Functions
• Lead hardware design projects from concept through manufacturing
• Define project scope, allocate resources, manage schedules, and maintain budgets
• Design hardware based on requirements and specifications including PCBs, control cabinets, enclosures, cables, antennas, and other vehicle-mounted components
• Interpret and review complex PCB schematics, Gerber files, and system-level documentation
• Oversee hardware development subcontractors for metro system projects
• Develop and manage production test plans
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project and design documentation
• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7–10 years of hardware development experience
• Proven leadership experience managing hardware development teams
• Strong understanding of the hardware development life cycle from concept to manufacturing
• Expertise in multilayer PCB design
• Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics and design documentation
• Experience working with transit/rail signaling systems a plus
