Design and implement high-speed RTL designs on FPGA for satellite-based cellular communications.
Develop and optimize DSP algorithms for custom software-defined radio (SDR) platforms.
Interface with RFICs (e.g., AD9371) and high-speed protocols like JESD204C and PCIe.
Build and maintain device driver software (Linux, C/C++) for FPGA-software integration.
Collaborate on the development of host interface software to interact with FPGA platforms
Lead testing and validation efforts — simulation, lab-based prototyping, and eventual in-orbit testing.
Create thorough documentation and interface control documents (ICDs) for custom IP blocks
Contribute to lab validation with tools like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Requirements-
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience with Xilinx/Altera FPGAs and high-speed digital design.
Strong understanding of FPGA constraints: size, clocking, I/O, timing, and power.
Experience in FPGA simulation and validation, using test benches and lab hardware.
Working knowledge of Linux kernel, driver development, and embedded C/C++.
Familiarity with software-defined radios, especially in satellite or telecom contexts.
Ability to debug and test at system and signal level, from lab to field.
Bonus Points-
Experience with Xilinx Zynq or Versal (AI Engine) SoCs.
Understanding of cellular protocols (GSM, LTE, 5G) including PHY and MAC layers.
Exposure to SDR platforms and RFICs like AD9371.
Interest in building space-grade, mission-critical communication systems.
Hands-on with lab tools and validation equipment for RF and digital signal testing.
