Job Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control systems in accordance with machine mechanisms and process requirements.
Develop, program, test, and commission PLC-based automation systems.
Design and develop SCADA and HMI applications for new manufacturing plants and process automation.
Modify, upgrade, and maintain factory electrical power distribution systems to support production and expansion projects.
Identify, propose, and implement automation solutions to reduce labor costs, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and material requisitions for electrical and automation projects.
Select electrical and automation components in compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for timely material sourcing and delivery.
Supervise and manage site contractors during installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.
Provide technical support during project execution, including system troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimization.
Ensure all electrical and automation projects comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including electrical drawings, control schematics, operating manuals, and commissioning reports.
Person’s Profile
B.Sc. (Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University, NDT/HNDE or other-5 years' Experience
Minimum 2+ years’ experience preferably in Manufacturing sector
Conversant with PLC/SCADA systems
Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English and Sinhala
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong results orientation
Ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments
Sound knowledge of the MS Office suite
