Summary:
The Entry-level Electrical Engineer/Technician's role typically involves supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components, often within the aerospace or related industries. This may include assembling and testing prototypes, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Technicians collaborate with engineers and other professionals, contributing to various project phases and maintaining technical documentation
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Design and Development:
• Contribute to the design, modification, and testing of electrical systems and components, often related to engines or aerospace applications.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
• Diagnose and repair electrical equipment, systems, and test benches.
• Testing and Evaluation:
• Conduct tests on electrical components, systems, and prototypes, analyzing results and identifying solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance procedures.
• Collaboration:
• Work with engineers, designers, and other technicians in a team environment.
• Adherence to Standards:
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant industry standards, Safran procedures, and quality requirements.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development of new methods and procedures.
• Training and Development:
• Acquire ongoing knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, standards, and Safran technologies through training opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Either BSEE or 1 year experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, components, and systems.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Testing and Evaluation: Experience in conducting tests, analyzing results, and evaluating performance.
• Communication and Collaboration: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other professionals.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in documentation, record-keeping, and adherence to standards.
• Relevant Education: Typically requires an associate's degree or equivalent in electrical or electronic engineering technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in aerospace or related industries, is often preferred.
