Insight Global is looking for an entry-level Electrical Distribution Design Engineer to sit in Temple Terrace, FL (northeast Tampa area) with any interest in learning the power distribution, utilities, and telecommunications engineering industry. This is an entry level role, so new graduates welcome to apply! This a 12 month contract-to-hire, meaning you will be converted to permanent employment after 12 months, but benefits and PTO included while on contract!
This person will be learning the design process of undergrounding power lines, some permitting and QA/QC of designs.
Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to work fully in-office in Temple Terrace, FL, 40 hours a week - NOT PART TIME OR HYBIRD/REMOTE
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation (own vehicle preferred)
• Completed Bachelors Degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program - Electrical Engineering major highly preferred
• AutoCAD experience highly preferred; Solidworks or similar CAD program will also be consider
• Any relevant professional, internship, or undergraduate coursework experience, related to power distribution/utilities industry/energy, telecom design (underground) or similar engineering field is a plus, but not required
• Experience or interest in a career in utilities/construction industry - ROOM FOR GROWTH!
• Any experience working with the following programs is a plus but not required: G-TECH, WorkPro, BOUD, Maximo
