Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC machines, including screw chillers and thermal products.
  • Prepare and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and BOMs.
  • Select and integrate electrical components such as MCCBs, contactors, relays, VFDs, sensors, heaters, and protection devices.
  • Support control panel design, power distribution, earthing, and safety interlocks for chiller systems.
  • Support PLC and HMI programming activities, including basic logic modifications, I/O mapping, tag management, and parameter settings.
  • Coordinate BMS integration (e.g., BACnet/Modbus) and support testing, signal mapping, and system validation.
  • Participate in dry testing, DVT, and performance testing of machines in lab and factory environments.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control-related issues during development, production, and site commissioning.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Controls, Software, QA, Sourcing, and Service teams for system integration and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, safety guidelines, and company processes.
  • Support component localization and cost optimization initiatives without impacting quality or performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ Β years of relevant industry experience (Engineer II level).
  • Strong machine-level experience in HVAC systems, especially screw chiller machines.
  • Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and VFD-based applications.
  • Working experience or exposure to PLC and HMI programming in industrial applications.
  • Knowledge of BMS integration protocols such as Bacnet and Modbus is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Structured Text (ST), and Function Block Diagram (FBD).
  • Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and documentation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
