The Smart Buildings Energy Services Energy Engineer Internship at Siemens offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy engineering and sustainable solutions. Interns will rotate through various departments, focusing on energy engineering activities and sales, while developing skills in HVAC systems, energy calculations, and project development. This 10-week program aims to cultivate future talent for Siemens, providing a comprehensive understanding of smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Provide project development assistance for energy service projects and LEED sustainable solutions.

• Review project specifications and drawings to establish energy-efficient solutions.
,
• Support facility site visits and communicate design concepts with vendors and project managers.
,
• Conduct preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
,
• Take or supervise equipment measurements and data logging to develop energy savings opportunities.
,
• Work with Energy Services staff on building energy simulation programs and calculations.

• Support the development of energy services proposals.

• Participate in client meetings and presentations.

• Rotate through other departments to learn about branch operations.

• Attend virtual executive discussions and events with other interns.
Requirements
• Current sophomore or junior undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, or Business Administration.

• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Benefits
