As an Electronic Engineer you will be responsible for driving all technical aspects of the production environment, including taking responsibility for the fault finding and repair of all Inrange hardware, developing and maintaining test hardware, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. A BEng in Electronic or Electrical Engineering is essential with 2 years of experience inΒ an electronic engineering environment with particular focus on fault finding and repair of RF electronic circuits would be advantageous

Responsibilities:Β 

Manufacturing Process Improvement:
  • Assess and enhance manufacturing processes, including subcontractor operations (e.g., PCB assembly).
  • Identify and implement best practices for tooling and equipment, including test hardware and software, ensuring proper maintenance.
  • Develop and refine automated and manual production systems.
Production Optimisation & Quality Assurance:
  • Address production challenges and delays while contributing to product development.
  • Reduce costs, enhance quality, improve producibility, and increase product reliability.
  • Monitor yield and optimise sensor and sensor sub-assemblies.
  • Oversee rework and repairs, including fault-finding, testing, and reworking of both production and delivered hardware (THT & SMD).
  • Conduct failure analysis and reporting.
Training and Collaboration:
  • Train staff on new and existing processes.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to optimise production.
  • Maintain product and service quality to uphold the company’s reputation.
  • Engage with stakeholders across management, finance, administration, and technical teams to analyse and enhance customer service.


Requirements


  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, covering subjects such as calculus, electronic design, technical communication, and technical drawings/graphic communication.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an electronic engineering environment, with a focus on RF circuit fault finding and repair (advantageous).
  • Experience in manufacturing high-value, low-volume electronic products.
  • Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with RF circuit fault finding.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001-certified production facility.
