Siemens is seeking an Electronics Hardware Developer to join our Research & Development team in Peachtree Corners, GA. As an Electronics Hardware Developer, you will be at the forefront of exploring emerging technologies and designing state-of-the-art electrical circuit protection and distribution systems. You will have the opportunity to develop electrical prototypes for innovative product concepts in circuit protection and power distribution, contributing to the creation of safe, intelligent, and efficient solutions for the next generation. In this position, you will design, build, and test both analog and digital circuitry, focusing on applications such as power electronics and power supplies. Your role will involve optimizing designs for electrical safety products intended for high production volumes. You will stay abreast of the latest industry trends and developments in power electronics and related components, ensuring that our products are at the cutting edge of technology. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with various engineering disciplines, including software/firmware, electrical hardware, mechanical, project management, verification and validation engineers, and quality personnel to verify and validate prototypes and products. Responsibilities
• Develop electrical prototypes for forward-looking product concepts in the field of circuit protection and power distribution.

• Design, build, and test analog and digital circuitry in applications such as power electronics and power supplies.
,
• Optimize designs for electrical safety products with high production volume.
,
• Follow the latest industry trends and developments in power electronics and its related components for future product realization.
,
• Collaborate closely with all engineering disciplines including software/firmware, electrical hardware, mechanical, project management, verification and validation engineers, and quality personnel to verify and validate prototypes/products.

Requirements
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
,
• 8 - 10+ years of experience developing electrical hardware, including analog and digital designs.
,
• Background in power electronics and related topics, such as EMI/EMC, power dissipations, packaging, etc.
,
• Experience developing prototypes/products in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
,
• Proficiency with one or more electrical engineering design tools is required.
,
• Experience working with common electronics laboratory equipment is required.
,
• Strong hands-on skills and capabilities to build prototypes are required.
,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
,
• Ability to produce results with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves
• Familiarity with electrical safety products, such as circuit breakers.

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
,
• Familiarity with Agile methodology preferred.
,
• Experience with microprocessor-based embedded system designs.
,
• Experience developing applications using wireless IoT Network Protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee, and Wifi.

• Knowledge and experience using MATLAB/SIMULINK is a bonus and converting analytical results into efficient product design.

• Experience with new product introduction to manufacturing.

• Basic coding skills is a plus.
