Overview:
We are looking for an Engineer who has understanding of Hardware Components and Systems Engineering.
Duties:
• Perform life cycle analysis within a team in support of the sustainment of our customers training aids, devices, simulators and simulations, other furnished property and instrumentation, targets and threat simulations so they remain fully mission capable for their training events and exercises.
• Perform Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) modeling to support Life Cycle Analysis of fielded systems. Additionally, the Life Cycle Engineer II will perform sustainment activities that include tracking and analyzing parts consumption and maintenance trends, implementing a Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence program, tracking modifications and technology refreshes to the system, and performing Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) for the system.
• The Life Cycle Engineer II is part of the Engineering Sustainment team. As such, the Life Cycle Engineer II interfaces with a multi-discipline team to ensure the continued functioning of the customer’s training system.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree. Electrical Engineering knowledge preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team environment
• Experience performing technical studies and engineering data analysis
Desired Skills:
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Experience performing life-cycle sustainment and cost optimization, trade-studies, and / or competing hardware design and cost-benefit analysis
• Experience performing reliability engineering including design, modeling and prediction and management in accordance with DoD or equivalent industry standards or practices as inputs to life-cycle analysis.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering handbook and standards including MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-690, ANSI-GEIA-STD-0009, MIL-HDBK-338, MIL-STD-1543, MIL-STD-189, MIL-STD-781, MIL-STD-785, or equivalent industry standards or practices.
• Experience with ReliaSoft or equivalent reliability modeling tool.
• Experience working with very large, complex systems.
• Experience implementing and tracking Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)and obsolescence programs in accordance with DoD SD-22.
• Experience with FRACAS in accordance with MIL-STD-2155 or equivalent industry standards or practices.
• Highly skilled in statistical theory and modeling.
