Target Start Date ASAPScope / Overview The Electrical Engineering Technician III provides advanced electrical technical support for field maintenance activities, electrical isolation (LOTO), and the safe operation of electrical systems supporting production facilities. This role supports maintenance of electrical distribution equipment, lighting, HVAC electrical systems, motors, and instrumentation while ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and operational procedures. The technician will troubleshoot electrical issues, support maintenance planning and execution, assist with system reliability improvements, and work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering personnel. This position also provides technical guidance to less experienced technicians and supports continuous improvement initiatives.Primary Responsibilities
Support electrical maintenance activities on operating facilities.
Perform and verify electrical isolation and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and determine corrective actions.
Assemble, install, test, calibrate, and modify electrical equipment and control systems.
Diagnose electrical malfunctions and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Record equipment performance data and recommend repair or replacement strategies.
Assist with maintenance planning and outage execution.
Support commissioning, startup, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and electrical procedures.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
Communicate equipment status and field conditions to supervisors and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, or industrial electrical operations.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Experience performing LOTO procedures.
Experience maintaining motors, electrical distribution equipment, lighting, and HVAC electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to work safely in an industrial operating environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Applicable electrical certifications or equivalent industry experience preferred.
