Electrical Engineering Intern
Location: Berlin
Employment type: Full-time, paid internship
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Join IN2 in Berlin IN2 is looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our growing Berlin team. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience within an international engineering consultancy and contribute to the design of electrical building-services systems for real projects across sectors such as residential, hospitality, offices, education and data centres. You will work closely with experienced engineers and receive support as you develop your technical, design and coordination skills. Your responsibilities
  • Support the design of electrical building-services systems.
  • Assist with lighting, power, communications, fire alarm and security system designs.
  • Prepare calculations, technical drawings, schedules and specifications.
  • Support engineers with equipment selection and technical research.
  • Assist with BIM and interdisciplinary design coordination.
  • Participate in project meetings and internal design reviews.
  • Help review architectural and engineering information.
  • Support the preparation of reports and project documentation.
Your profile
  • Currently studying, or recently graduated in, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Interested in building design and sustainable engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD or other design software is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in English; German language skills are an advantage.
  • Organised, curious and willing to learn.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
