Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of engineers to perform engineering analysis, design, or selection of components, and assist with project coordination. Participate in tests of electronics and mechanical products that may include test fixture design, writing test procedures, data acquisition, and publishing test reports. Effectively function in a team environment and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Design and development engineering support for:
Instrumentation products
Motion control systems
Electrical harness and wiring assemblies
Test and troubleshooting of:
Measurement systems in lab and manufacturing environments
Analog and digital circuit card assemblies
Antenna products in test ranges
Development of high-quality engineering documentation
Required Skills:
Solid understanding of electromagnetics, circuit design, motors, computer architectures, and digital systems engineering theory and concepts
Operate laboratory test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
Strong computer skills using MS Office products.
Able to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
Ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and work productively to solve problems.
Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Desirable skills:
Good technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills
Hands-on experience using RF test equipment.
Strong fundamentals in RF and antenna
Understanding and experience with motors and motion control systems
Working knowledge of Visio, SolidWorks, or ADS
Experience Level: None required.
Education: Student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
