This Electrical Engineer will work on a team that develops new devices, measurement systems, and cell processing systems for use in animal agriculture and other fields. This role will specialize in the electrical engineering design aspects of technology development and product improvement. The position will work out of the Cytonome headquarters in Lexington, MA partnering with STgenetics.
Responsibilities / Duties
• Work within a cross-functional team of engineers to design and develop cell measurement systems
• Support R&D efforts by designing and executing experiments and analyzing results
• Work closely with optical, software and systems engineers to troubleshoot and debug issues
• Write electrical engineering specifications and test plans
• Design, build and own prototypes to test and validate new concepts
• Build and test electrical assemblies, components and test fixtures
• Familiarity processing analog & digital signals
Education / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, physics or related technical discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
• 1+ years of professional design engineering experience
• Experience in the design and development of complex electromechanical and optoelectronic systems
• Proficient in Altium or equivalent
• Experience troubleshooting circuit boards and soldering/desoldering components
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to produce presentations using Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and cross-disciplinary team
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
