Electrical Engineer (Power Studies)

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology (preferred focus in Power Systems).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of field experience in power systems, preferably with relaying, system studies, or design.
• Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with low, medium, and high-voltage equipment.
  • Protection and Control SEL Relay testing strongly preferred.
  • Ability to write relay logic or quickly learn to do so (Schweitzer/SEL, Basler, GE, ABB, Siemens, etc.).
• Design Experience: Industrial and utility design experience preferred.
• Licensure: PE license (Professional Engineer) preferred; candidates pursuing licensure will also be considered.
• Communication: Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, with customers and colleagues.
• Leadership: Previous supervisory or project leadership experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random tests.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be available for periodic domestic travel; international travel is a plus. A valid U.S. passport is preferred.
