Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of electrical systems for high-degree-of-freedom robotic platforms as well as their integration in Last Mile operations. This role involves architecting the robot’s power distribution, sensor wiring, embedded electrical infrastructure, compute board and safety system.

You will be responsible for designing the battery system, power boards, wiring harnesses, sensor interfaces, compute boards and overall electrical routing strategy in close collaboration with mechanical and software engineers.

You will play a lead role in ensuring high-performance, reliable operation of complex electromechanical systems under real-world conditions.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience designing and integrating electrical systems in robotics or complex electromechanical platforms.
- Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
- Strong background in power electronics, battery systems, and embedded electrical integration.
- Experience with wire harness design, including connector selection, cable specing, and EMI mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in PCB design (schematic capture and layout) using Altium or similar tools.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and sensor integration.
- Hands-on experience with lab tools for electrical debug and validation (oscilloscope, power supply, spectrum analyzer, etc.).

- Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with high-DOF robotic systems.
- Familiarity with high-speed data protocols (e.g., MIPI, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet).
- Understanding of thermal design and safety considerations in high-power robotic systems.
- Experience working in environments with DFM/DFA constraints and production scaling.
- Familiarity with designing for functional safety as applied to autonomous systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
