Electrical Engineer II

FULL-TIME

REMOTE

2–5 YRS EXP.

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer II to join our hardware development team. You will take ownership of circuit design, PCB layout review, and hardware validation across a range of embedded and power-electronics products — working closely with firmware, mechanical, and systems teams from concept through production release.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Design and analyze analog and digital circuits including power management, signal conditioning, and mixed-signal interfaces

Develop and review PCB schematics and layouts, ensuring signal integrity, EMC compliance, and design-for-manufacture (DFM) standards

Lead hardware bring-up, debug, and validation of prototype assemblies (PCBAs)

Author and maintain hardware design documentation: schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, test procedures, and DVT reports

Collaborate with firmware engineers on hardware/software interfac definition, register maps, and driver support

Interface with EMS/CM partners and component vendors to resolve fabrication and assembly issues

Support design-for-test (DFT) planning and work with test engineers to develop functional test fixtures and ATE strategies

Participate in design reviews (peer, PDR, CDR) and drive corrective action on identified risks

Contribute to component selection, vendor qualification, and BOM cost reduction initiatives

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field

2–5 years of hands-on hardware design experience in an industry setting

Familiarity with common embedded interfaces: SPI, I²C, UART, USB, CAN

Experience reviewing Gerbers, fab notes, and working with PCB fabrication vendors

Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer preferred)

Experience with bench lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and DMMs

Solid understanding of power electronics: regulators (switching and linear), battery management, and load switching

Preferred Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document work clearly and concisely

Demonstrated ability to manage tasks across multiple concurrent projects

Experience with wireless connectivity hardware: Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi, cellular (LTE/5G), or LoRa

Exposure to flex/rigid-flex PCB design and HDI stackups

Familiarity with FCC/CE/UL regulatory testing and pre-compliance EMC measurement techniques

Experience with via-in-pad, ENIG or ENEPIG surface finishes, and controlled-impedance design

Scripting skills (Python or MATLAB) for data analysis, automated test, or simulation workflows

Background in wearable, IoT, or consumer electronics products

About the Role
