Position Description

Performs a variety of simple engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the design and development of electric/electronic devices and systems applied to new or existing products. Evaluates progress and results of projects.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Designs and troubleshoots electrical/electronic assemblies  and systems
  2. Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties
  3. Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to Concept Analysis, Business Case, product development, pre-production and post launch steps
  4. Recommends methods of manufacturing during the design of new products, design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies
  5. Acts as a liaison between other departments as necessary
  6. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

  • Knowledge and use of electrical/electronic control circuits and systems

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and their uses in various power systems

  • Knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations

  • Knowledge of applicable technologies and/or products

  • Communication skills to explain designs and logic used

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of relevant internship experience
