Job Summary: Electrical Engineer (Engineer IV)
• Location: Fairfax, VA
• Department: Facilities Management
• Contract
• Salary: $85,318.48 – $142,197.95 annually ($41.02 to $68.36/hourly)
• Lead and manage complex capital and non-capital electrical engineering projects in occupied facilities.
• Design, review, and oversee installation and maintenance of electrical, generator, life safety, solar PV, and EV systems.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple departments.
• Ensure compliance with codes, quality standards, and budget constraints.
• Sign and seal engineering work as a licensed Professional Engineer.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• At least 4 years of progressively responsible professional experience in electrical engineering.
Licenses & Certifications
• Required:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) License (or eligible for reciprocity within 6 months)

• Commercial power distribution and energy management
• Mission-critical backup systems
• Contract and project management
• Experience with:
• Electrical system design, validation, and optimization

Physical Requirements
