TorcUP, Inc.
Full-time
On-site
$65,000 - $70,000 USD yearly
At TorcUP, we are industry leaders in high-powered torque wrench systems trusted across aerospace, automotive, and industrial sectors. As we design the next generation of advanced, connected, and intelligent torque tools, we are looking for an ambitious Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to support cutting-edge innovations in embedded systems, motor control, and smart diagnostics.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team where your contributions will directly impact the performance, precision, and intelligence of world-class tools.

Your Role:

As an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development of electro-mechanical torque tools with embedded control systems, wireless connectivity, and mobile integration. You’ll be involved in everything from firmware development to motor control logic, diagnostics, and smart device applications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and debug firmware for microcontrollers (with a focus on Microchip’s MPLAB X IDE).
• Support design and refinement of motor control systems used in high-powered torque tools.
• Participate in embedded hardware/software integration, including sensor interfaces and feedback control.
• Write code in C, C++, Python, and VBA to support automation, data acquisition, and testing.
• Contribute to mobile app development using Android Studio and iOS platforms for smart tool diagnostics and configuration.
• Design, simulate, and validate electrical circuits, including power systems and signal conditioning.
• Utilize lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, logic analyzers) for debugging and testing.
• Assist in Bluetooth communication module implementation and pairing processes.
• Help design next-generation features such as IoT-enabled diagnostics and predictive maintenance tools.
• Maintain clear documentation of development processes, tests, and product iterations.

Preferred/Optional Experience:
• Exposure to Industrial IoT platforms and data-driven tool analytics.
• Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (MMS or CMMS) for tool tracking or asset lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with high-torque, precision-controlled electro-mechanical systems or power tools.
• Basic understanding of IC design and analysis in high-load or high-efficiency systems.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Internship, capstone, or personal project experience in embedded systems, motor control, or tool electronics.
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and real-time control principles.
• Comfortable with hands-on testing, soldering, and iterative prototyping.
• Team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Gain:
• A direct role in shaping the future of torque tool technology.
• Mentorship from industry experts in embedded and electro-mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with real products used in critical applications worldwide.
• A chance to grow with a company investing in intelligent, connected tool systems
