We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support and lead technical initiatives across a range of projects impacting our operations. This role is designed to accommodate varying levels of experience, where you will progressively take on greater scope, complexity, and leadership responsibilities. Depending on your experience, you may independently execute mid-sized projects, lead large and complex initiatives, or serve as a technical expert shaping strategy, standards, and long-term business outcomes.
You will apply electrical engineering expertise to evaluate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative, reliable, and safe solutions supporting operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong technical capability in electrical systems, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively while delivering measurable results.
Responsibilities / Expectations
Perform electrical engineering assignments ranging from moderately complex to highly sophisticated, applying technical expertise, innovation, and sound judgment
Independently execute projects or lead large-scale, high-impact electrical initiatives, depending on experience level
Analyze operational, system, and customer needs; develop and implement effective and scalable solutions
Apply knowledge of electrical systems (e.g., power distribution, controls, instrumentation, or related areas) across multiple applications, with increasing depth or specialization at higher levels
Lead or contribute to project planning and execution, including scope, scheduling, and resource coordination
Anticipate technical and business challenges; identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, optimize performance, and support operational and training needs
Champion electrical safety standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, ranging from team-level updates to leadership-facing communications
Provide guidance, mentorship, or leadership to other engineers and technical staff, as appropriate to level
Contribute to or establish electrical engineering standards, specifications, and best practices
Support project cost awareness and effective resource utilization

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Experience requirements based on level:
Engineer III: Minimum 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
Senior Engineer: Minimum 8+ years of progressive engineering experience
Staff Engineer: Minimum 15+ years of progressive engineering experience
Industry experience in natural gas, petrochemical, or a related field preferred
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safety as a top priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills
Experience working with electrical systems and equipment in industrial or operational environments
Ability to work across multiple engineering subject areas, with increasing specialization at higher levels
Proven ability to work independently; leadership and decision-making responsibilities increase with level
Preferred:
FE or PE certification
Project management experience and/or demonstrated leadership of complex electrical projects
