Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at CMTA, you’ll play a vital role in designing critical building systems that power the spaces where people live, work, learn, and heal. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values innovation, continuous learning, and real-world impact. What You’ll Do: Design and develop electrical systems for a variety of building types, including: Electrical distribution and standby/emergency power systems Lighting design (interior/exterior), lighting controls, and photometric analysis Fire alarm, life safety, security, and communications systems Energy conservation and code compliance strategies Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules Perform conductor sizing and voltage drop calculations Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines and architects to deliver integrated designs Contribute to project documentation: meeting minutes, weekly progress reports, submittal reviews, RFIs, and punch lists Support project management and construction administration phases Apply your knowledge of NEC, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and applicable codes and standards What You Bring: BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent 3+ years of experience in building system design preferred Experience with AGI for lighting photometrics Proficient with AutoCAD and experience with REVIT Knowledge of Electrical design and applicable codes Strong interpersonal and time management skills Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why CMTA?
