The Electrical Engineer – Maintenance is responsible for planning, execution, and reliability of all electrical maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.
Core Responsibilities:
Operation & Maintenance
- Ensure preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including motors, switchgears, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, power distribution systems and substations.
- Monitor plant electrical performance and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot faults in LT/HT systems and control panels.
Project Management
- Execute electrical projects including upgrades, retrofits, and new installations.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and ensure project timelines are met.
Inventory Management
- Manage critical spares inventory and coordinate with procurement.
- Supervise contractors and ensure quality work within budget.
Contractor Management
- Train and guide contractors, technicians and electricians.
- Promote safe working practices and teamwork.
- Supervise contractors and ensure quality work within budget.
People Management
- Must have the capability to lead the electrical team and develop close coordination among intra and inter departments. Providing awareness to the staff regarding best working practices, guiding them in technical matters and building teams for effectiveness.
Compliance of Company Policies
- Will be responsible for the compliance of company policies.
Continuous Improvement
- Share continuous improvement projects to conserve energy through optimization of processes, preparation of their feasibility reports, BOQs, follow up for procurement of material and ensure safe execution of projects in stipulated time. Contract management will be mandatory.
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor / Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in process industry.
- Prior work experience in Petrochemical / Fertilizer/ Process / Food / Cement Industry
- English fluency, both written and spoken
- Sound knowledge of ERP system including SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD & Power BI to carry out Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
- Good understanding international standards of EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO & Food Safety etc.
Desirable requirements:
- In depth knowledge of Electrical & Instrument System is advantageous
- Knowledge of CFB boilers and coal fired powerhouse is an additive
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Methodologies, Reliability Management & People Development is desirable

- Good communication skills with fluency in English, written and spoken.
