Electrical Engineer: Building Services

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer, with experience in Building Services, to join our multi-disciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, delivering high-quality electrical designs and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, small power, and backup systems.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system coordination.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and provide construction support.
• Assist with tender documentation and project cost estimates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical building services design.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., SANS 10142, SANS 10400, and IEC standards).
• Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of power distribution systems, lighting design, and energy efficiency principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
