Electrical Engineer

Your New Opportunity:

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a key role supporting sales and project teams with the design, application and delivery of electrical and control systems for power generation solutions. Working across tenders, projects and commissioning activities, you’ll ensure all designs meet Australian Standards while contributing to continuous improvement across engineering and tendering processes.

About the role:

  • Provide electrical and controls engineering support to sales and project teams.
  • Design and document electrical and control systems including SLDs and schematics.
  • Review supplier and subcontractor submissions for specification compliance.
  • Support tender development, costing and technical documentation.
  • Develop and test PLC programs for power generation applications.
  • Assist with commissioning and site support as required.
  • Participate in internal and external design and project meetings.
  • Support aftersales teams with technical issue resolution and RCA reporting.
  • Assist with supplier and subcontractor selection in line with policy.
  • Contribute to internal training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong internal relationships through effective communication.
  • Actively contribute to a safe, compliant and high-performing engineering team.

About you:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering and eligible for Engineers Australia Membership.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS3000 and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Experience with electrical protection, control systems and power generation.
  • PLC programming and testing experience.
  • Competent in electrical design tools and CAD systems.
  • Process-driven with a strong focus on compliance and quality.
  • Confident communicator able to work across sales, projects and engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Interest in power generation and renewable energy solutions.
  • Knowledge of MTU products or power generation systems (highly regarded).
