Electrical Engineer

WAM Australia is a leading provider of bulk material handling systems and equipment, specializing in delivering solutions for industrial sectors such as food processing, chemicals, plastics, and waste management.

WAM Australia is now looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team.

The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing electrical control systems and power distribution arrangements for industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, Australian Standards and customer requirements.
• Determining the selection, configuration and integration of electrical components, including motors, switchboards, transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, cables and associated equipment.
• Developing and modifying electrical systems, control panels and automation solutions to support the operation and performance of industrial machinery and process equipment.
• Interpreting technical specifications, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, standards and regulations to ensure the safe and compliant design and installation of electrical systems.
• Planning, coordinating and managing the procurement and allocation of electrical components, equipment and technical resources required for manufacturing and project delivery.
• Establishing project schedules for the manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, control systems and associated components.
• Supervising the installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient performance.
• Conducting testing, inspections and technical evaluations of electrical equipment and control systems, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Liaising with mechanical engineers, automation specialists, production personnel and clients to ensure electrical designs are effectively integrated into complete engineering solutions.
• Researching and evaluating new electrical technologies, automation systems and control equipment to improve product performance, operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

• At least 1 year of experience as a Electrical Engineer;
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industrial control systems, power distribution and automation equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, Australian Standards and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in designing, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage engineering projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
