As a Controls Engineer Level 1, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to assist in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for industrial applications. This entry-level position requires a solid foundation in engineering principles and a willingness to learn about control system technologies and methodologies.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the design and development of control systems based on project requirements.
• Support senior engineers in creating control system architecture and specifications.
• Participate in the programming and configuration of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
• Assist in the testing and validation of control system functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
• Document design specifications, test results, and project updates.
Requirements
• Knowledge of control system fundamentals and principles.
• Proficient knowledge and abilities with a few PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of schematic software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, etc.
• This is not a remote position. This role is onsite at the company address with minimum travel to jobsites as needed.
