About the position
Responsibilities
• Key contributor to Electrical Engineering development efforts, managing technical scope, and delivering to technical, cost, and schedule objectives
• Reinforce the existing EE team in development of active and passive sonar systems, tasking to include: digital signal processing (DSP) architecture design; development of software/MATLAB solutions for sonar performance predictions and improvements; beamforming and sonar signal conditioning.
• Support to hardware, software, and system integration activities for maritime applications.
• Responsible for providing input to program bids and generating bases of estimate.
• Responsible for deriving engineering specifications from system requirements and developing detailed architectures.
Requirements
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline with a minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience is required.
• Advanced understanding of signal processing theory and techniques required.
• Experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) architecture design and sonar acoustics.
• Ability to obtain security clearance at the DoD Secret level which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with advanced signal processing concepts.
• Experience with underwater acoustics applications.
• Knowledge of active and passive sonar systems.
